Peninsula Group

UBC has a long history on the Mornington Peninsula. Originally, a Branch was established in 1956, which ceased operations in 1969 and reformed as a Group in 1970.

A few of the stalwart Peninsula Branch members continued their work after the Branch ceased to operate, and were responsible for the reformation of the Group.

Peninsula Group has a very full and active fundraising schedule, including the famous Good Friday Appeal “Barrow Push” from Sorrento to Safety Beach.

Over the years, 13 members have received Life Memberships, six of whom have received the Club’s highest award, the Meritorious Service Award.
