Where the money goes

In 2016-17, UBC donated over $625,000 to support children’s health. The Club receives no Government funding, so we rely entirely on a small staff, the generosity of the Victorian public, and the enthusiasm of our wonderful volunteers, state-wide.

Our Work – 72.8%

This is our heart and soul… the reason we exist. We donate funds to several recipients throughout the year, and in the 2016-17 financial year we supported:

The Royal Children’s Hospital $575,205.20
Matthew Senior $768.00
RCH Early Child Intervention Centre $408.00
Murdoch Children’s Research Institute $1,033.00
Bendigo Health Foundation $10,000.00
Boort District Health  $68.00
Fly for the Kids  $2,000.00
Brigid Rouse $5,213.00

Administration – 16.6%

Admin expenses are essential to the everyday operations of UBC. We are so fortunate that 38% of our wage costs have been donated to the Club, which goes a long way to keeping our overheads low.

Fundraising – 10.6%

This is where our wonderful volunteers come in. Fundraising is integral to generating donations, members and supporters. Public fundraising ensures our work can continue.
