Certificate of Appreciation
Presented to individuals, organisation etc, in appreciation of their generous support
Format: Framed Certificate

Plaque of Appreciation
Presented to individuals who have served the Club for a reasonably long length of time and recognise the efforts of people who serve on Club committees, and who would not normally receive a Certificate of Appreciation, which recognises generous support not service to the Club.

Honorary Life Membership
Presented to individuals who have served the Club for a long length of time. 182 members have received this award.

Meritorious Service Award
The Meritorious Service Award (MSA) is the Club’s highest award. 61 members have received this award
The MSA was introduced in 1970, and the first two recipients were the then surviving co-founders of the Club in Mr. Alf Clark and Mr. Clarrie Williams.
Today, one of the criteria for determining if an MSA is to be awarded is that the proposed recipient must already be an Honorary Life Member of the Club.

Nominations
Any member of UBC can nominate another member for a Club award. All nominations for Club Awards are referred to the State Committee for consideration.

Nomination for Club Award

  • Before completing the details below, please refer to the below.

    1. All nominations for Club Awards are referred to the State Committee for consideration.
    2. Each nomination is considered on merit and, if approved, the State Committee will determine the type of award to be presented.
    3. All nominations for Club Awards should include:
       - Details of the nominee's service to the Club, including how long the nominee has worked for and supported the Club, and in what capacity.
       - Any other supporting information that the application(s) feel will assist the State Committee in their deliberation.
    4. Only one nomination per nomination form.
    5. When considering the proposed date of presentation, please allow approximately 6 weeks from the date of application. This will provide sufficient time for the nomination to be processed and for the award to be prepared and made available for presentation.
    6. State Committee will meet on the 4th Thursday of every month and awards will be discussed at these meetings.
    7. State Committee will advise all applicants in writing of the decision on their nomination and delivery arrangements.
