Well, they say “it takes a village” – our village includes a bank and a chocolate shop!
All our Branches and Groups around Victoria work tirelessly to raise much needed funds for the children of Victoria and our West Gippsland Branch has been blessed with the support of the Westpac Bank and the Chocolate Shop in Warragul.
Deb Pratt, the owner of the chocolate shop located in Palmerston Street, has been donating goodies from her shop to go towards the Raffle Basket that we sell each year where the proceeds go towards the Good Friday Appeal. It’s been 6 years and each year as Good Friday comes around, Deb is always ready with her contributions. Thank you Deb! We truly appreciate it.

And where does the money gets counted? At a closed Wetspac Bank. That’s right, a bank that closes for Good Friday has been opened for the last 6 years to assist us in the counting of the money. We cannot emphasise enough how grateful we are that there are kindness out there that comes to work on a day off to help us.
It takes a village indeed and we are thankful for our village!
